Topic 5.3. The use of there is and there are in negative and interrogative.




What's there in a hostel dorm?
For example, 'There is a lamp.'


'There is not' and 'There are not'.

There is not a television in the dorm.
There's not a bathroom in the dorm.
There isn't any orange juice in the dorm. (Uncountable)
There are not any people in the dorm.
There aren't any chairs in the dorm.
